Modern life is busy.
Especially for us in the developed parts of the world. Most of us are free from the necessity of regularly securing basic survival needs. With that out the way, there is a plethora of choice on how to spend free time, money and energy. We are literally spoiled for choice on how to design and live out our lives.
There is so much vying for attention, an infinite amount of things that we could be doing.
But there’s something simple and essential we ought not to lose sight of; health.
A google search for ‘healthy diet plan’ returns six hundred and eighty million results. This is a brief glimpse of the available information online.
Truth, as they say, is a whisper; the signal is readily lost or distorted in an ocean of information.
Our state of health is expressed through the body — the greatest gift we’ve ever had and in all likelihood will ever receive. It is the vessel in which we partake life and have all experiences.
The fundamental requirements for the human body have not changed recently. And by recently, I mean an unfathomable length of time. We share these needs with many other members of the animal kingdom and all mammals.
